AI interviewer
A real spoken interview, run by AI, on each candidate’s own time. Not a webcam and a list of prompts to talk at.
Two ways to interview
Choose per interview. Both are scored the same way against the same skills.
| Feature | AI-led | Scripted |
|---|---|---|
| Where questions come from | Built from your skills and job description | Written or approved by you |
| Follow-up questions | Yes | — |
| Same questions for everyone | Same skills, different wording | Yes |
| Question count | 3–15 | One for each question you write |
| Best for | Probing experience and judgment | Standardized, compliance-heavy screens |
Follow-ups
The first answer is rarely the interesting one. In AI-led mode, the interviewer picks up on what the candidate said and asks them to go further.

Honest by design
Candidates know who they are talking to before they start.
Before the interview begins, candidates are told it’s run by AI, that it’s recorded, and that it happens in one sitting. They check their camera and microphone, then start when they’re ready.
The interviewer doesn’t make hiring decisions and doesn’t tell candidates how they did. It asks, listens and hands everything to you.
It speaks with a natural voice and waits for the candidate to finish before it replies. It never pretends to be human: candidates are told up front that an AI is running the interview.
AI-led interviews build questions from the skills you set and ask follow-ups based on each answer. Scripted interviews ask exactly the questions you wrote, in order, word for word, with no follow-ups. Use scripted when you need every candidate asked the same thing. Use AI-led when you want the interviewer to probe.
The interviewer gives a warning for abusive language, going off topic, or trying to manipulate it. A second warning ends the interview. Warnings and the reason are recorded, and you see them in the candidate’s results.
They can try. Follow-up questions make it harder, because they’re based on what the candidate just said. Scoring also flags answers that sound scripted, generic or evasive, so you can look closer.
Between 10 and 60 minutes, with 3 to 15 questions. Time per question is worked out from those two numbers, and in scripted mode you can give individual questions more time.
