Candidate experience
Good candidates have options. The first round should take one evening, not three emails and a calendar invite.
What candidates do
They see the role, the company and what the interview involves, then enter their name and email and type in a six-digit code.
A quick device check, then a plain summary: it’s run by AI, it’s recorded, it happens in one sitting.
Screening questions, the AI interview and any uploads, in your order. Then a thank-you screen.
An email code is the only sign-in. Nothing to download.
Any time of day, any day of the week, in any time zone.
Audio-only interviews need just a microphone.
Problems with a camera or mic show up before the interview, not during.
Interview people in the language the job is done in.
If an upload fails, it retries on their next visit.
Fair by default
Every candidate for an interview gets the same setup, frozen when they start. Nobody gets a shorter slot because the interviewer was running late.
Some will, and it’s fair to say so up front. Most prefer it to waiting a week for a phone slot: they can do it tonight, in one go, and every candidate gets the same questions and the same time. Tell them what to expect in the job ad. Our page for candidates explains the rest, and you can link to it.
A thank-you screen. They never see their score. What happens next is up to you, and you tell them yourself.
Yes. Choose an audio-only interview and candidates need only a microphone, which every phone has. Video interviews work best on a laptop or desktop with a webcam.
The recording is kept in the candidate’s browser and uploads the next time they open the link, for up to 48 hours. The transcript is saved as the interview happens.
